Welcome to Cornerstone!
Cornerstone Youth Center reaches out to youth who live in and around the Elizabethown (PA) area. The youth center provides a way for youth to form trusting relationships with adults who are dedicated to listening to their hurts, encouraging their hearts, and nurturing them in Christian faith. Whether it's grabbing a snack at the food counter, shooting a game of pool, or lounging on a couch discussing life, youth have the opportunity to connect with their peers and volunteers in a safe and fun environment.
"I have been going to Cornerstone for six years; it is a place where I can go to get away. It’s a place I can go to feel and be safe. Cornerstone is full of caring Christian volunteers who help me cope, feel, and get better in my times of need."
- Elcie Armold, Cornerstone Youth (six years)
"Cornerstone Community Ministries has proven that they connect and change lives in their mission of service to our youth. I personally ask the community to support Cornerstone in its fundraising campaign because they support keeping and developing a strong Christian family that makes us all better in service to the community we live in, love, and call home."
- Robert H. Brain, Mayor, Elizabethtown Borough
"As a youth pastor in the community, I gladly support the ministry of Cornerstone. They are on the front lines of reaching students that may not always walk through the doors of a church. Our town needs Cornerstone…."
- Matt Vosberg, Youth Pastor, Elizabethtown Grace Brethren Church
"...To have a community with vision for the future, we must have an emphasis on our youth. Providing an atmosphere for our youth to grow with integrity and spirituality, as they build relationships with one another and their God, is the responsibility of their community and family. We as a community can do nothing less then support Cornerstone as they provide for that growth."
- Robert L. Enck, Vice President, Susquehanna Bank, Elizabethtown Market
"What I have observed in the four years I volunteered at Cornerstone is it’s a place for Elizabethtown youth to grow socially and spiritually. They (youth) develop positive relationships with their peers and volunteers. They also receive spiritual guidance and learn important life lessons in a fun, yet structured environment…."
- Ashley Miller, Elizabethtown College, Class of 2008
"…I continue to be amazed at the powerful, positive, and life-giving influence that Cornerstone is having in our community. I have seen first-hand how the ministry is offering guidance and hope to kids who desperately long for both. Cornerstone is a much-needed lighthouse…."
- Walt Mueller, President, Center for Parent and Youth Understanding (CPYU)
